In the whirlwind of presentations that we will have in the coming weeks among the various teams that will participate in the Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP World Championships, it was Marc VDS’s turn to unveil the surprises it has prepared for the season in the intermediate category. Tony Arbolino will complete his third season with the team, after a 2023 season in which he was the runner-up behind Pedro Acosta.
‘I am very happy to be preparing for my third season in this incredible family. I really appreciate the opportunity that Marc [van der Straten, team owner] has given me and I share this commitment to win. The support I receive to help me perform at my best on the track is incredible and always gives me a boost in every race. My sole focus is to give them a great prize in 2024, which is to fight for the title from the first race to the last. I had good conversations with my team and we know where we can improve to be stronger this year’, said Arbolino, in statements to the team’s website.
‘It will be an interesting year with the change in Pirelli tires and I believe that will change the dynamics of the races a lot. It will require a new focus, but I am prepared for this new challenge and to bring the Marc VDS Racing Team back to the top in Moto2. It’s great to have Filip [Salac] with me and I hope he can show his talent. It’s also motivating when you have a fast and competitive teammate. We have the weapons to do it, so it will be a matter of working hard and being prepared in the best way we can to do our job’, he concluded.
