Filip Salac has ambitious goals for 2024, in what will be his third season racing in Moto2 and his debut with the Marc VDS Racing Team.
‘It is an honor to have been asked to represent this great team and it makes me proud to be part of a project of this magnitude and to have their trust in me to achieve success. These races are very famous in the paddock and I feel privileged to wear them in 2024. I am very grateful to Marc [van der Straten, team owner] and everyone involved with the team for helping me in this new journey of my career,’ he began by saying to the team’s website.
‘I want to have the opportunity to fight for the best possible results and this team is the perfect place to achieve my goals. I have a two-year contract that takes some immediate pressure off me and with time I can grow and become the rider I know I can be. My goal is to finish among the top five every weekend, fight for the podium, and also win some races. And I want to work with Tony [Arbolino] to win the team title, which is also a very important goal. I have a good relationship with Tony and we know how talented and fast he is. I’m sure that sharing the same garage will help us.’
