Sustainable mobility solutions are becoming increasingly important and relevant to the industry at a time when humanity is facing decisive moments to mitigate the effects of climate change.
In motorcycle racing, one of the first steps towards a green future was the creation of MotoE, with fully electric motorcycles. MotoGP will now switch to synthetic fuels to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. But could the future also be electric?
Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna, said quoted by the Marca newspaper that it is an unthinkable scenario at this time, pointing out two other paths to achieve greater environmental sustainability:
– This possibility is very far off at the moment. I am more in favor of trying zero contamination through synthetic gasoline. The current MotoE motorcycles have nothing to do with those of five years ago. And if one day hydrogen becomes a solution, we will see what we can do, always depending on the manufacturers.
