The ELF Marc VDS Racing Team officially presented itself for the 2024 season in the World Superbike Championship, where Sam Lowes will be the team’s only rider. A representative from Ducati Corse was also present at the event and stated that Marc van der Straten’s team is the ‘ideal partner’.
Marco Zambenedetti, Technical Coordinator of Ducati, shared his thoughts on the new project: ‘It is a great pleasure to see the Ducati name shine alongside the Marc VDS Racing family. Their three world titles in Moto2, their excellent results over more than a decade, and above all, their commitment to excellence, make this team an ideal partner’.
Then Zambenedetti made a point of saying that the Italian manufacturer will try to support Lowes in the best possible way:
