MotoGP is facing a very competitive era, more than ever, but that doesn’t take away Pedro Acosta’s confidence in achieving a positive result in his first GP, with the rookie looking at the top 10 as a possible outcome. For the Spanish rider, if he can improve his attack time and reach Q2, he can ‘fight for something’.
The Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 rider was seen in a video talking about possible results in the upcoming GP, the first of the MotoGP 2024 season in Losail, saying that he believes he can be among the top ten: ‘I think I can be with Brad [Binder] again. In the top 10, let’s say. 10th, 11th, 12th… in this area, you know?! It’s not bad for us. It’s also true that with race pace we are faster, but we are losing a bit with the fast lap, but it’s normal, enough for this’.
Acosta believes that if he can make a good lap that allows him to enter Q2, he can have a very competitive race: ‘If we improve this and manage to be in Q2. It’s all done. If we are among the top 10, we can fight for something’.
