Kawasaki follows the trend set by other Japanese manufacturers, reporting an increase in sales for the period between April and September 2024, which corresponds to the second quarter of the fiscal year in Japan.
The revenue from motorcycle sales grew by around five percent, both in developed and emerging markets.
In developed countries, 4,000 more units were sold compared to the same quarter last year (with a slight decrease in Japan), while in emerging markets, sales grew by 20,000 units, despite stagnation in Latin America.
This trend is expected to continue throughout the rest of the fiscal year, which ends in March 2025 in Japan, with a forecast of 570,000 units sold across all markets.
There was an increased demand for motorcycles in both North America and Europe, during a period when Kawasaki introduced its first two electric models and announced plans for its first long-distance hybrid.
