Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali believes that Marc Márquez’s entry into Gresini Racing will be a valuable asset for everyone involved in the Italian brand’s universe.
‘Marc Márquez is a rider who needs no introduction. In the Valencia tests, he was very fast and I believe he can win many races. He will be a serious title contender,’ he began in an interview with DAZN.
The Ducati executive explained that there will be no secrets among the riders in the various “tentacles” of the Italian factory.
‘It is part of Ducati’s philosophy that all the riders’ data is visible. In this way, Pecco [Bagnaia] will see how Marc rides, but the same will happen with Marc regarding Pecco. This is important, both for the riders and for us. It will be useful for Ducati to see how Marc is performing so that we can understand how we can further improve the bike. He is a rider with a lot of experience and talent, so I think he will be very helpful. Marc is a rider of our Gresini team, we support all the riders who are part of our teams. They can compete against each other, and may the best one win,’ he added.
Marc Márquez will team up with his younger brother Álex at Gresini, after a long association with Honda.
