In the last two days, Toprak Razgatlioglu continued to work with his new BMW M 1000 RR at the Jerez – Angel Nieto Circuit, running alongside his competitors on the grid. He finished the second day with the fourth best time in a globally very positive test, but without forgetting and emphasizing that he is still getting used to the new bike.
The ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team rider completed 78 laps yesterday, with his best lap time being 1:38.638s (-0.829s from the leader). Analyzing his performance, #54 said: ‘We made some great improvements, but also lost. We tried some new parts. Sometimes they were very positive, other times they weren’t as good. We are working because we need to improve the bike and I need to understand it. Everything is new to me, but with each lap I am understanding the character of the bike better. We did a 1m38s, we saw many 1:39s’.
Razgatlioglu noticed some growth, as he said: ‘It was a very positive test this Thursday, especially with the race tire, we are very strong, but we need to learn with the SCQ tire and change the setup for grip. We improved the entry into corners and I am satisfied with the bike. We are still working on rear grip because it’s not fantastic’.
