Despite continuing with Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team and riding a Ducati, Marco Bezzecchi will have a different model of the bike – the Desmosedici GP23, while last year he rode the GP22. Therefore, he will have to make some adjustments.
The Italian mentioned that despite there being nothing radically different, it is necessary to adapt his riding style to the bike: ‘The bike is a bit different, of course. It’s nothing crazy compared to my bike from last year. But when you get used to riding the bike in a certain way, then it’s always difficult to change even if the change is very small. In Valencia I felt some positives, but also some points that I need to improve – especially in my riding because the bike needed a different maneuver from me‘.
Bezzecchi is now looking forward to the Sepang tests, hoping to come out of them with positive feelings: ‘I can’t wait to go to Malaysia because it’s another track, it’s a bit different, it’s a track that I really like and I usually truly enjoy riding there. So I want to see how I feel with the new bike and try to come out of there with positive feelings. And I can’t wait to ride the bike‘.
