By moving to a Ducati from Gresini, Marc Márquez has been identified as one of the main contenders for the MotoGP title this year. However, neither the rider nor the team set that as their goal.
Nadia Padovani, owner of Gresini, told Sky Sport Italia that she is aiming for the top five in the championship: ‘The expectations with Marc are high, but we haven’t set the goal of winning the World Championship. We want to be at least among the top five in the standings, yes’.
Never before have the spotlights been so focused on Gresini, but the team leader assured that pressure is not the main feeling within the team: ‘It’s more the desire to start than the pressure, absolutely. Because we can’t wait to hit the track with these riders and see where we can go this year’.
