Jorge Lorenzo takes a new step in his career in motorsport. This year he will compete in GT3 with Lazarus Corse, driving an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 that he has already had the chance to test.
After retiring from MotoGP, the Palma de Mallorca driver has been dedicating himself to cars in recent years: he started in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, but has also participated in races in the Porsche Supercup and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo.
The GT category in which Lorenzo will be driving has not yet been revealed. Lazarus Corse has extensive experience and in 2016 was the champion of the International GT Open.
Quoted by the website Motosan.es, Lorenzo said: ‘The passion for motorsports has always been part of my life, even on four wheels. I met people who gave me the opportunity to plan a project together. I would like to thank Lazarus and Aston Martin Racing for giving me the opportunity to start a new journey that I hope will lead me to significant goals in the world of motorsport‘.
