Angel Stadium hosted the AMA Supercross 450 for the second time this season, with this being a Triple Crown day, where Cooper Web finished as the winner… without ever winning. Chase Sexton, Eli Tomac, and Jason Anderson were the winners of the races.
In the first race, Chase Sexton finished as the winner and dominated the entire session, crossing the finish line in first place in all 14 laps, finishing with a 2.311s advantage over second-placed Webb, while Ken Roczen finished third.
Jason Anderson finished fourth and Eli Tomac fifth.
In the second race, Jason Anderson made his debut as a winner this season in main events. Webb finished the first lap in front but Webb overtook the opponent and once he did, he never let go of the lead, relegating the #2 to second place in the session, with Jett Lawrence taking the last spot on the podium.
Plessinger and Justin Cooper finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
In the final main event of the night, the third one, the victory went to Eli Tomac who crossed the finish line in first place in all 14 laps, finishing with a lead of over 7s over second-placed Sexton, while last week’s winner, Aaron Plessinger, finished third.
Jett Lawrence finished fourth and Webb closed the top five.
At the end of the day, Webb took the overall victory with a 2-2-5, with Tomac finishing second and Plessinger third.
In the championship standings, Plessinger maintains the lead with 80 points, Sexton is second with 76, and Webb ascended to third place, now with 74.
