This year, Marc Márquez will compete in MotoGP with Gresini on a Ducati, having left Repsol Honda after a decade. Livio Suppo, who was the team director when the Spaniard arrived in the premier class, believes in his return in 2025.
The separation was amicable even though it was a year before the end of the contract, and at Gresini, Márquez committed only for this season – which means he is free to negotiate for 2025. Suppo told GPOne.com that he believes Honda sees the return of #93 as a priority:
– I think their priority is to have Marc back and I wouldn’t be surprised. In fact, there is a very close relationship between Marc and his former group, and confirmation comes from the way they separated. It also seems to me that Marc decided to see 2024 as a year to look around and understand himself. These clues make me think of his eventual return.
