More than 200 crew members and riders of the BMW K1200LT and K1600 series for 3 days on the roads of Portugal. They come from Italy, Spain, France, Great Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Slovakia, Switzerland, and all over Portugal for the International Meeting organized by CKLT. The event takes place in Chaves from May 17th to 19th.
An event that is enriched by the beauty of the places it passes through, to which it brings notoriety and charm with its passage. In fact, the journey of the motorcyclists also becomes an “attraction”: motorcycles of the same model that circulate in unison on the roads of the Douro Valley, a World Heritage site, represent an extraordinary event that adds a touch of novelty to an incredibly beautiful location.
The proposal for the International Meeting in Portugal immediately obtained consensus, with participation requests even from the United States. Because the recipe for the International Meeting goes beyond the traditional visit, it includes the discovery of motorcycle-related and non-motorcycle-related peculiarities. The meeting centered in Chaves, for example, includes a visit to the cellars of the producers of the best Portuguese wines and spirits. Starting from Chaves, in addition to the famous Roman-era bridge, you can start the tour from kilometer zero of the famous N2 road. All accompanied by food and wine tastings.
Program
Friday, May 17th
Guided walking tour of the main tourist attractions of the city of Chaves, including the Museum of Roman Baths, ending with a tasting of thermal water and Pastel de Chaves. At 7:00 PM, official opening of the event with a welcome drink followed by dinner in historic spaces in Chaves.
Saturday, May 18th
Tour through the roads of the Douro Valley with a visit and stop for lunch at the best wine cellars. The day will end with the traditional gala dinner.
Sunday, May 19th
Visit to the Natural Park of Pedras Salgadas and presentation of the 2025 edition of the International Meeting.

The International Meeting 2024 is organized by the Portuguese group CKLT, founded in 2003. For years, it brought together all Portuguese owners of the K1200LT, but where everyone is very welcome and, after the introduction of the K1600 in 2011, it became the Portuguese reference for this motorcycle.
