Franco Morbidelli’s participation in the MotoGP Sepang tests is still not certain, as the team ‘has decided to postpone the medical evaluation for a few more days’.
The (new) Pramac Racing rider was found unconscious by Marc and Álex Márquez in Portimão, where the athletes were testing alongside WSBK riders on the Portuguese track, and despite the computed tomography scans not revealing any major issues, the team decided to be more cautious regarding #21’s health.
On social media, Pramac provided more information on the matter: ‘We would like to give you an updated information regarding Franco Morbidelli’s medical evaluation. The medical team has decided to postpone the evaluation for a few more days’.
And then explained the reason for this decision: ‘This postponement aims to allow for a more comprehensive understanding of his physical condition and determine his eligibility to participate in the upcoming scheduled test days’.
Sepang will host three days of testing from February 6th to 8th.
