The debut of the new Triumph TF 250-X in competition resulted in a very positive set of results, notably with both riders on the podium in the opening race of the Spanish Motocross Championship and a sixth place in the start of the AMA Supercross East Coast, in Detroit.
Mikkel Haarup and Camden McLellan, from Monster Energy Triumph Racing, successfully participated in the opening round of the Spanish Motocross Championship, with the experienced Haarup achieving two second places and McLellan taking his TF 250-X with a fourth and a third places. The event took place at the former GP circuit of Talavera de la Reina and served as preparation, for both the riders and the team, for the MX2 World Championship that starts next month in Argentina.

However, on the other side of the Atlantic, Jalek Swoll and Evan Ferry made their debut on the TF 250-X in an action-packed event at Ford Field Stadium in Detroit, Michigan, in the first round of the AMA 250SX East Coast. Swoll finished in an excellent sixth position, while his teammate, Ferry, was forced to retire in the first turn of the main race.
Triumph entered the stadium for the first time with the main goal of both their riders qualifying for the Main Event on the new TF 250-X, which was achieved after some mishaps in the qualifying heats.
Outside the pack and separated by another rider on the starting grid, the Triumph Racing riders made a great start. Unfortunately, both were innocent victims of an incident in turn one, which threw them to the ground. Ferry crashed hard into the barriers (requiring medical assistance), fortunately without serious consequences for the rider, while Swoll managed to recover his bike and finish the race in a magnificent sixth place. The race was followed with interest and anticipation by the entire staff of the brand present in Detroit and at the factory in Hinckley, United Kingdom, where the American debut of the TF 250-X was streamed live.
It was the culmination of a preparation stage that involved more than 1,000 hours of track testing with a team of 20 riders supported by 45 development engineers.
