A MotoGP pilot never stops learning and has room for improvement, even when fighting at the top. Brad Binder, fourth-placed last year, feels that there are aspects he should improve as a rider, which could be very useful to him in 2024.
The South African from Red Bull KTM started by talking about his performance in qualifying: ‘For me, the big areas I would like to improve… first, if I can make qualifying even a little better, it would be a huge help because it’s much easier when you’re with the top two/three and you don’t get stuck in that group. So, that’s an area I would like to improve‘.
On the other hand, Binder wants to improve his tire management: ‘The next area for me as a rider is that I want to be better with my tires. I think that could be important. It’s important for us to have the same amount of tire life as our opponents at the end of the races, if not better. While last year we had some more problems. That’s a key area for me to work on – being as fast, but a little kinder to the tire. If I can improve that, I’m confident it will give me many more possibilities to be strong and fight hard at the end of the races‘.
