Es with the certainty that KTM grew during the winter that Francesco Guidotti looks to the next season but, emphasizing that the brand’s opponents also got stronger and… without knowing where Ducati stands.
After many days in Sepang, the KTM Team Manager spoke of very ‘intense’ days: ‘It was more than three days in Malaysia because I was also there at the Shakedown, it was ten very intense and interesting days. In a way, we started the season and we’re back on track’.
Asked if he feels closer to Ducati, the current main reference in the World Championship, the Italian said: ‘It’s hard to say, we know more or less where we are, but it’s always difficult to know where the candidates are, that’s the biggest question mark. What can be done and what was done during the winter and when we return to the track we will be able to see the level. I think we have progressed, but it seems that our opponents didn’t rest much during the winter. There are still two days of testing left and then we’ll see’.
The next MotoGP tests will take place in Losail, Qatar, on the 19th and 20th of this month.
