Currently in the final year of contract as a satellite team of Ducati in MotoGP, Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team has an open future when it comes to motorcycle suppliers. However, there is a clear preference at the moment.
Pablo Nieto, the team manager, told the official MotoGP website that there is an option to renew with Ducati for another two years and the intention is to continue with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer – although he acknowledges that there is a lot of interest from other manufacturers:
– It is true that our contract will end at the end of the season, but we have the option to continue for two more years with them. Right now we are very happy with Ducati, that is clear, but it is also true that other manufacturers are looking for us. This is good for us because it means we are doing a very good job. When some manufacturers come to you and ask if you can or are interested in switching, it means we are doing a very good job. But at the moment our idea is to continue with Ducati.
