After stepping down as the Team HRC team director, Leon Camier will start the 2024 Superbike World Championship season with the new Elf Marc VDS team – alongside fellow newcomer Sam Lowes.
According to the website GPOne.com, the British rider will be a team consultant and coach for the rider. For now, the collaboration will only be for the Phillip Island round and the test that takes place in Barcelona in March.
Continuing the partnership in the future is not ruled out. What is certain is that, to take the first steps in the WSBK, Marc VDS will rely on the experience and knowledge of someone as experienced as Camier, who has a vast career in the championship as a rider and, more recently, as a team manager.
