The first day of MotoGP testing in Losail is about two and a half hours from the end, and Miguel Oliveira is far from the top of the timing table. At the moment, he is in 21st place.
The Portuguese rider from Trackhouse Racing was in the top ten in the early hours of the day, but did not keep up with the pace of time improvements. In his best lap, he clocked a time of 1m54.644s, being 1.830s behind his teammate Raúl Fernández, who leads the classification. The Spaniard has just taken the lead in the table, where Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia) was until a few minutes ago.
Naturally, caution is needed when interpreting the real meaning of the timing table, as the exact work plans of each rider are not known. Attacking the stopwatch is not necessarily a priority at this stage, where adapting to a new bike like Oliveira’s and finalizing preparations for the new season is essential.
