Miguel Oliveira is having difficulties in the first steps aboard the 2024 Aprilia RS-GP. The Trackhouse Racing man was only 21st on the first day of testing in Losail, admitting that he lacks performance in corners.
Asked if his current problems resemble some complaints he had with the KTM where he asked for more cornering, the Almada rider clarified that the situation is different:
– In the end, it was different because we could compensate with the throttle. At least there was margin, but you could recover in some way. But with this bike, it actually turns very well, with a lot of speed, but you need to be in a good position in the corner, and you need to do it correctly – otherwise, you will widen. And right now, this is the main problem for me. With the 2022 bike, I was immediately faster in the fast part compared to the other Aprilias.
