Jorge Martín narrowly lost the MotoGP title battle to Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) last year. Now, the Prima Pramac rider has another chance to claim the championship, leading the standings with seven rounds remaining.
In a press conference, Martín was asked whether he has changed anything in his approach or feels more at ease following the mistakes that may have cost him the 2023 title. The Spaniard replied:
– I don’t think I’ve changed a lot. I remember last year Pecco started to struggle a bit. After Misano I was keeping the same level, but he was a bit far. That’s why I was recovering a lot of points. But then at the end of the season he came back.
Unsurprisingly, Martín remains focused on always giving his best effort and is satisfied with his performance so far: ‘For sure I always try to win, I always try my best and give my 100% to try to win; that’s why I’m here, but sometimes it’s not possible. So I have to be happy. I think I’m doing a good job’.
