Jawa recently launched a new model, currently available only in India, but it pays a special tribute to its Czech origins: the bike is the 42 FJ, named in honor of the brand’s founder in the Czech Republic in 1929, Frantisek Janecek.
This is the latest version of the Jawa 42, arriving three years after the last update. The engine is a single-cylinder unit, now producing 29 hp thanks to some upgrades, including an increase in displacement to 334 cc.
The frame is tubular steel, as is the swingarm, with a telescopic fork at the front. The braking system, with ABS, features disc brakes with floating calipers on both wheels.
Speaking of wheels, the front measures 18 inches and the rear 17 inches, with the bike having a seat height of 790 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters, weighing 184 kg.
Equipped with LED lighting and a digital display on the instrument panel, the Jawa 42 FJ is available in India for the equivalent of €2,100 to €2,400.
