Miguel Oliveira is back in the top five results. This Saturday, he finished fifth in the Sprint race of the Aragon GP, starting from seventh. The Trackhouse Racing man was the strongest of the Aprilia riders, in a race where the factory team failed to make the top 15.
A good start for the Portuguese, who was in fifth place in the opening lap before dropping to sixth. He settled in that position in the early laps, not far from the top five.
And on the fourth lap, after a small problem for Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), Oliveira reached the top five, moving up to fifth place. He then came close to Álex Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) without being able to overtake.
In the second half of the race, the Almada rider consistently held fifth place, with a solid gap to the closest rival behind and not far from fourth place – even though he didn’t have the means to threaten Álex Márquez.
In the final laps, Oliveira fell further behind the Spanish rival, but managed to secure a solid fifth place, his best result since the German GP.
