Following the launch of the Bajaj Freedom 125, another compressed natural gas (CNG) scooter is set to hit the market: the TVS Jupiter 125. These two major motorcycle manufacturers in India are offering solutions for more sustainable mobility.
According to the site Autocar India, the plan is to release this version of the Jupiter 125 next year, with an expected production capacity of about 1,000 units per month. This is anticipated to be just the first of several TVS models to offer a CNG option.
A spokesperson for the manufacturer told the site that various solutions are being considered, and three different models are being prepared for 2024:
– All technological options are very interesting, and we are keen on them. However, as indicated in the previous meeting with investors, our plan this year is to launch another electric vehicle, an ICE [internal combustion engine] vehicle, and an E3W [electric three-wheeler]. We are working towards achieving this.
