A Thornton Hundred has launched a new creation, which it has dubbed Evo Bobber. This is based on the Triumph Bonneville Bobber, being the first of a new generation of this company that has been in business for eight years.
With production initially limited to 25 units, TH CEO Jody Millhouse explained what he sought in this construction: ‘Pushing the limits of existing Bobbers, it was time to elevate the format and redefine perceptions. The design philosophy focuses on geometric precision, along with a timeless appearance.’
It features an impressive 1,200cc parallel twin-cylinder engine with 120 horsepower (the original only delivers “just” 76 hp). The construction used lightweight materials such as carbon fiber in the rims and fuel tank, as well as titanium.
The suspension is from K-Tech and the brake components are from HEL. Different height drivers were taken into account to adapt the handlebar and footrest positions, in addition to having two seat mounts ensuring suitability for the rider’s height.
The full keyless RFID system ensures security and eliminates the need for keys, on a motorcycle that weighs only 170 kg (about 80 kg lighter than the Triumph Bobber). On the fuel tank, the unique character of the motorcycle is marked with the Thornton Hundred logo and the numbering and name Evo Bobber inscribed.
