Raúl Fernández is one of several MotoGP riders without a contract for 2025. At the end of this season, the rider will end his association with Trackhouse Racing, and at this time it is still uncertain whether he will continue.
Despite the uncertainty, the Spanish rider is not thinking about the future yet. Fernández emphasized to the press that, at the moment, his focus is on the work he has ahead and not on what 2025 might hold for him:
– It’s too early to say anything. I know what I want, but I am very focused on my work. I try not to think too much; I think we are in the wrong moment to think, and I have a good team behind me working on it.
Currently, Fernández is in 12th place in the championship and, despite having last year’s version of the Aprilia, he is three positions above and has one more point than his teammate Miguel Oliveira – who rides the 2024 RS-GP.
The #25 has been a regular presence in the points-paying positions, with a sixth place as his best result of the year so far. He is in his third season in the premier class, after debuting with Tech3 in 2022 and riding for the now-defunct RNF in 2023 – transitioning to the new Aprilia satellite team this year.
